If the paper was the 36gsm I would have given 5 stars. I LOVE my Schuyler Stridon everything about it except the part thinness. The paper is amazing but I’m constantly checking for bleedthrough, the slightest breeze and the paper lifts, its more difficult to turn and I have to be very cautious handling it to prevent wrinkles and creasing. Other than the 28gsm paper, it is as close to perfect as I could ever hope for.

I previously owned a Stridon in an imperial blue goatskin full yapp, but chose to give it away. However, as someone who appreciates blue leather Bibles, I was naturally drawn to the Sapphire calfskin edition.

At first, I wasn’t quite sure how I felt about it—the leather didn’t have that familiar waxy cowhide feel I typically enjoy. But after spending a few days with it, I’ve come to truly appreciate its character. It has the look of Badalassi waxy cowhide but doesn’t scratch as easily, which I greatly value.

Additionally, the way it maintains its marbled color is a true standout, it is absolutely beautiful and a joy to behold.

My only suggestions, based on personal preference, would be to include longer ribbons and consider a darker or perhaps an 11-point Milo font for improved readability.
