I know some traditional Cambridge customers have expressed some disappointment in the Topaz. But don’t count me among them! I’ve only had this KJV calfsplit for a couple of days, but I’m very impressed. I wasn’t 100% sure I’d like the modern layout, but I really do. It’s so clean and readable; yet you still get the references and translator notes. The paper is top-notch quality, as expected. And the Cambridge calfsplit cover is always well done. Like many, I almost prefer it over goatskin just because of the solid structure/lack of flopiness. Also, size-wise I enjoy this one as a “tweener.” It’s obviously larger than Cameo or Concord, but not too hefty at all. Easy to hold. I’m very pleased and recommend it highly.
